Managing Emotions

CRC 1171 "Affective Societies: Dynamics of social coexistence in mobile worlds"

Emotions and affect are not just something on the fringes of society; they form the basis for every kind of social activity. The Collaborative Research Center (CRC) is aiming to establish a new long-term understanding of societies as affective societies—an understanding that acknowledges the fundamental importance of emotionality and affectivity for social life in the mobile, networked, and mediatized worlds of the 21st century.
