Nicholas Boston is DAAD Visiting Professor. He is associate professor with tenure at The City University of New York (CUNY), Lehman College. He holds a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Cambridge, and a M.S. in journalism from Columbia University. His research is at the intersection of digital media studies, journalism studies, migration, industry, and identity. His most recent publications are in the edited volumes Production Studies, The Sequel!: Cultural Studies of Global Media Industries (2015), and Postcolonial Transitions in Europe: Contexts, Practices and Politics (2015). He has received fellowships or grant support from the American Council on Germany, the American Academy in Rome, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), and the CUNY Research Foundation. His book The Amorous Migrant: Race, Relationships and Resettlement is forthcoming from Temple University Press.
