Term:
Feb 01, 2015 — Apr 30, 2019

The Institute for Media and Communication Studies is part of the collaborative and interdisciplinary research project "InfectControl 2020", including several divisions. This project is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Among others, the Division Media Analysis/ Research Methods takes part in the sub-project "RAI - Rational Use of Antibiotics by Information and Communication". Evgeniya Boklage and Markus Lehmkuhl were research assistants in this project. Dr. Sarah Kohler and Angela Osterheider are the project research assistants at the moment.

The objective of the sub-project "RAI - Rational Use of Antibiotics by Information and Communication (RAI)" is to develop dynamic infographics in 2D or 3D formats, in order to visualize risk situations in communication that are relevant for the society. These visualizations will enable scientific evaluating authorities to fully comprehend extremely insecure risk situations and communicate those risks in a more comprehensible way, specifically to the general public and society.
