A delegation of six professors and doctoral students of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem visited our Institute for three days, among them Prof. Dr. Menahem Blondheim, Director of the Noah Mozes Department of Communication and Journalism, and Prof. Dr. Ifat Maoz, Director of the Smart Family Institute of Communications.

In several seminars and colloquia of the Institute the Israeli colleagues presented their diverse research projects. They presented topics such as "The curious case of captives and missing soldiers in the Israeli media" by Dr. Keren Tenenboim-Weinblatt, "French migration to Israel" by Prof. Dr. Esther Schely-Newman, "Current Israeli Cinema as a Cinema of Conflictual Traumas" by Dr. Raya Morag and "The Effect of Continuous Involvement in Jewish-Arab Dialogue Encounters on the Ideological Perspectives of Israeli Jews" by Yiftach Ron.

The Institute for Media and Communication Studies at FU Berlin and the Noah Mozes Department of Communication and Journalism at Hebrew University have thus intensified their cooperation that already started in 2010. Up to now, half a dozen doctoral students and master's students of our Institute have benefited from a special program that allows them to carry out research in Jerusalem. This special program is funded by the Einstein Foundation Berlin.

Moreover, from July 12-14 six doctoral students and three professors of our Institute will be in Jerusalem to held a mutual workshop to discuss the respective research projects. This is meant to be the first workshop in a row of yearly workshops to extend the cooperation and start research cooperations.
