The division Media Use Research is currently preparing a comparative study on digital media use in western and at least three African countries, namely Kenya, Ghana and the Gambia. Partners in other sub-Saharan countries are welcome to join the group.
The backbone of this research initiative will be quantitative surveys, which will be carried out in cooperation with local partners and complemented by qualitative studies. The study will follow a panel design with several waves and will be designed to learn more about the specific African way of employing ICTs in daily social and political life.
More information will be online soon.
