Continuing the tradition of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence to regularly organize public discussions of recent questions on the European Union, this round table was a special opportunity to discuss a current topic with representatives from academia, politics and economics: crisis management in the Eurozone.

JMCE Academic Coordinator Prof. Dr. Tanja A. Börzel moderated the discussion with the following participants:

The discussion was mainly concerned with the current attempts to stabilize the Eurozone and current developments in the EU countries hit most by Euro debt crisis.

The discussion was preceeded by an opening statement by Prof. Dr. Lütz, in which she outlined the current situation and have some outlooks for the future.

After the opening statement and the discussion between all panellists on stage, the audience had the word for questions and comments.

Finally, the event was completed by a reception at which the audience had the possibility to engage with the discussants directly and in an informal atmosphere.
