Klaus Jacob gives keynote address at EEEN forum in Leuven

On February 9, Klaus Jacob gave a keynote address at the European Environmental Evaluators Network forum in Leuven. His speech was entitled “Enhancing the use of impact assessment tools in policy making: bridging the gap between science and the policy making community”.

Among others, Klaus Jacob pointed to the reasons for gaps between scientific research and its consideration in policy development. In this context, he also presented the activities of the LIAISE project, a Network of Excellence under the EU Commission’s FP7 work program, which contributes to filling this gap. After his speech, Klaus Jacob participated in a panel discussion on “Demand side expectations: what roles could or should environmental evaluations play?”
