Dr. Sabine Weiland was elected as a board member of the Working Group Environmental Policy/Global Change (AK Umweltpolitik/Global Change) of the German Political Science Association (DVPW).

From 24 to 28 September, 2012 the DVPW organized its 25th scientific congress at the University of Tübingen on the topic “The Promise of Democracy”. The AK Umweltpolitik/Global Change organized a panel on “Global Environmental Governance Today - Green Economy or Neoliberal Environmentalism?”. Subsequently, a meeting of the working group took place during which the elections to the board were held.
