Rapidly growing population and economic development is leading to a number of environmental issues in India. This growing population is adversely affecting natural resources & environment. Water resources in India are exploited which has become a big social & environmental issue as well. India is also facing the challenge of climate change and global warming & rising temperature which are again pressurizing the issue of water.
This project will examine the religious, political & economic factors responsible for water pollution, water availability and water treatment in India. The goal is to better understand the water politics and to learn from best applied policies in the country so that other parts of the country can also take its benefit.
