Lena Bendlin (née Strehlow) has worked at the FFU as research associate at the chair in comparative politics since 2008. She is especially interested in environmental and climate policy within the European multi-level system. As part of her dissertation project on subnational climate politics in Europe, she is studying the role of French and German municipalities within the Covenant of Mayors. As a lecturer at OSI, Lena Bendlin teaches in the field of comparative analysis of political systems and policies, offering courses on the topics of European integration, environmental and climate policy, policy analysis and multi-level governance.
Lena Bendlin studied politics and communication science at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster and Sciences Po Lille with a focus on European studies. In 2007 she obtained her diploma of social sciences and the diplôme d’IEP.
