Tobias Kalt is a student of the MA Political Science at the Otto-Suhr-Institute of the Free University Berlin focusing on social and political theory, political economy and climate and environmental politics. Before coming to Berlin, he completed the BA European Studies at Maastricht University. As an intern he has worked on research projects related to environmental, energy and climate politics. Amongst others he has worked at the IRS Leibniz Institute for Regional Development and Structural Planning on the social processing of climate change and at the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Cambodia on local resistance against the construction of large-scale hydropower dams. Since October 2013 he has been working as a student assistant at the FFU in the research module “Constellations” of the DFG-sponsored research project „Urban Climate and Heat Stress in mid-latitude cities in view of climate change“ (UCaHS).
