Stefan Werland, M.A., is research fellow with the Environmental Policy Research Centre (FFU) which he joined in January 2009. His research interests center on strategies and policy instruments to enhance resource efficiency and the sustainable management of resources. The analysis of debates on concepts and paradigms in environmental policy is another focus of his research. Stefan is also Lead Editor for ‘natural resources' in the EU FP7 Network of Excellence LIAISE.
Prior to his appointment at Freie Universitaet Berlin, he worked at the Department of International Politics at TU Dresden as member of an interdisciplinary research project on sustainable forest management. In addition to research, he gave lectures at the Department of International Politics and the Faculty of Forestry Sciences.
