Students follow courses in the first year of their respective Master’s programs at Sciences Po Paris. Students are able to choose between the Master’s programs of PSIA (Paris School of International Affairs) and the Master Affaires européennes. The curriculum consists of courses of the specialization (“enseigenements de spécialisations”), the core modules (“tronc commun,” languages) and electives. Additionally, there is a joint seminar organized exclusively for the students of the Dual Degree Master's Program.
In their second year of study, students will follow courses in the Master's program "Politikwissenschaft" at the Otto-Suhr-Institute of Political Science at Freie Universität Berlin. They can specialize in the following fields:
The joint seminars are a core element of the program and are organized exclusively for the students of the program. There will be a seminar each at Sciences Po and Freie Universität Berlin.
Using various examples, the seminar encourages students to grapple with theoretical and methodological approaches in political and social sciences in Germany and France and prepares students for a career in an intercultural context.
An internship of at least six weeks is an obligatory element of the program. It can be completed worldwide at universities, international organizations, within the field of politics and higher administration, media or business. The internship is generally completed between the first and second year of the program when courses are out of session.
You can find further information, as well as help finding an internship, at the Career Service of Freien Universität Berlin and Sciences Po Avenir. A list of potential contacts for the internship is available at the office of the program.
