Bachelor’s Degree Latin American Studies  (30 LP)

The 30 credit module programme in Latin American Studies is offered by the Latin American Institute (Central Institute).

Object of the Programme

The choice of modules allows students to extend their subject knowledge through specialisation in the region of Latin America in the context of combined Bachelor’s study programmes. Considering increased international integration the choice of modules provides the students with an introduction to Latin America which familiarizes the students with essential academic research on Latin American history, politics, society, culture and the economy. The thematic focal point of the choice of modules is the historic, political, economic and societal transformation process and cultural dynamics with a consideration of the integration of Latin America in a global context.
