Master’s Programme in Political Science (German/French)

The Master’s programme in Political Science - Affaires européennes/Affaires internationales is offered by the Otto-Suhr-Institute of Political Science and  the Institut d´Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) (standard length of study: 4 semesters). This programme is a German / French double Master’s degree.

Object of the Programme

Students both broaden and deepen their research-based political academic abilities through the complementary nature of the programme at both partner institutes and at the same time gain competencies related to their applications which can be used in diverse roles in the economy, politics, administration, media as well as cultural and academic institutions.

After successful completion of all studies and examinations, the students gain the Master of Arts title in Political Science from the Freie Universität Berlin and the Master de Sciences Po with a specialisation in “Affaires internationales" or “Affaires Européennes”.
