The post-graduate Master’s programme in East European Studies (online) is offered by the Institute for East-European Studies (standard length of study: 4 semesters as a full-time student, 8 semesters part-time).
Object of the Programme
The Master’s programme in East European Studies enables a broadening and extension of specialist skills through specialising in states and societies of East, South-East and Central Europe, together referred to as Eastern Europe. The analysis and interpretation of the development and situations in Eastern Europe as well as the placement of these within their respective political, societal, legal, economic historical and cultural contexts are the basis of study content. Particular attention is paid to the thematisation of the shift in gender arrangements as well as disparities for the reason of ethnic or social background. In this way, regional studies issues and tasks are treated using interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary approaches.
After successful completion of studies the title “Master of Arts (MA)” will be awarded.
