Master’s Programme in Political Science

The Master’s programme in Political Science is offered by the Otto-Suhr-Institute of Political Science (standard length of study: 4 semesters).

Object of the Programme

The consecutive, strongly research-based Master’s programme in Political Science enables graduates of the Bachelor’s programme in Political Science or another equivalent programme to extend their subject skills while deepening their knowledge through specialisation in a part of the subject. A particular characteristic of this programme is that the students have access to practical research and academic skills.

In the Master’s programme of Political Science students are provided with deepened academic and professional skills. In the context of this subject the students become qualified for a PhD programme as well as for a role in political academia, in the area of research both in and outside of university institutions, as well as for various academic-oriented activities.

After successful completion of studies the title “Master of Arts (MA)” will be awarded.
