Short CV

 

Studied modern languages, European studies and public policy at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Universidad Complutense in Madrid, Institut des Hautes Etudes Internationales in Nice, Hertie School of Governance in Berlin and at the London School of Economics and Political Science. I was awarded scholarships by the Thyssen Foundation, the Friedrich-Ebert Foundation, the Leonardo da Vinci programme of the European Commission and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Among others, I worked for the London-based think tank Demos and interned at the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the Serbian Ministry for Science and Environmental Protection and the German Embassy in Wellington. Since 2008 I am part of the Kolleg.Forschergruppe “The Transformative Power of Europe” at the Centre for European Integration of the Otto-Suhr Institute of the Freie Universität Berlin.

 


Main fields of interest

 

EU external relations; Transformation processes in Southeast Europe, the Mediterranean and the Black Sea region (in particular good governance and environmental policies); Political Economy; Federalism
