Short CV

Heike is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Politics and International Relations and Nuffield College at the University of Oxford. She obtained her PhD from the University of Mannheim in July 2010 and holds a Master in Political Science and Economics from the University of Heidelberg. Her PhD thesis on Interest group influence on policy formulation in the European Union was awarded the Best PhD Thesis Award 2011 of the University Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES). Heike is currently working on an international collaborative research project on interest groups in the European Union and on a research project on citizens, interest groups and legislative activity in Germany. In addition, she prepares a research project on Agenda-setting in the European Union. She has gained teaching experience in European politics, interest groups and research methods. Heike works as a Visiting Fellow at the Kolleg-Forschergruppe during the Oxford term breaks throughout the academic year 2011/2012.
