Shipra Rajesh is a Ph.D. student in TERI University, New Delhi, India. She has done masters in Environmental Management from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in New Delhi. Her research interests are in social vulnerability and sustainable livelihoods. She is particularly interested in knowing the effectiveness of policies, initiated by the Indian Government, for promoting sustainable livelihoods in rural communities. Her doctoral research focuses on the assessment of inherent vulnerability in Indian rural settings.

During her stay, she wants to gain an insight into policy interventions in German context. She is interested in knowing how policies, which focus on livelihood of communities, differ in Germany and India.
