The workshop “Green Jobs in Asia and Germany”, jointly held by the Center for Energy Economics and Strategy Studies, Fudan University and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Shanghai Office, focused on the prospects for green jobs in China and Germany. Rainer Quitzow (Environmental Policy Research Centre, Freie Universität Berlin) provided an overview of Germany's policies and achievements in greening economic development and its economic implications, while Prof. Wu Libo (Fudan University) gave an overview of the Chinese and Asian context. On this basis, participants discussed lessons learned and potentials for future progress in generating green jobs in Asia and Germany.
