Cordula Dittmer and Daniel F. Lorenz partook in a two-day expert workshop on experiences of the “Refugee Crisis” in Switzerland on 27-28 October 2016. The workshop was organized by the Swiss Federal Office for Civil Protection (FOCP) in conjunction with the Center for Security Studies (CSS) of the ETH Zurich as a German-language workshop with representatives from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. 22 experts from national and subnational authorities, aid agencies, and from the field of science participated. Ms. Dittmer and Mr. Lorenz presented the results of the KatNet-Workshop from May 2016.
