News from Jun 09, 2020

At the Disaster Research Unit (DRU) at the Freie Universität Berlin, the new project " Health-related civil protection through civil defence and disaster management in pandemic situations using the example of SARS-CoV-2" (BePal) started on the 1st of June 2020 (duration 12 months).

Health-related civil protection plays a key role in managing the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. The aim of the research project is the analysis of the capacities and potentials of civil protection and disaster control organisations in the context of health-related civil protection in the event of a pandemic, using the example of SARS-CoV-2. The BePal project is funded as part of the health research of the BMBF funding call for research on COVID-19 in the wake of the Sars-CoV-2 outbreak (Rapid Response Module) as part of ELSA research.
