Michaela Haug is a social and cultural anthropologist with long-term ethnographic interests in Indonesia. She works on theoretical as well as socially and practically relevant questions in the field of environmental anthropology, socio-economic transformations, resource use, the (re)production of social inequalities and future making. Her current research project explores how different and partly contradicting visions of the future influence forest use changes and related social, economic and environmental transformations in the forested uplands of Indonesian Borneo.
