Winfried-Fest-Lecture 2001: "Berlin - 20 years of change and construction"

Eberhard Diepgen, former mayor of Berlin, orated about „Berlin - 20 years of change and construction“. The wall is gone. Now European borders must be opened toward the east. The path is longer than one might think, but we are on the right track toward fulfilling the legacy of those autumn days of 1989, toward creating a free, peaceful, and just Europe.
