At the end of the fellowship every fellow is required to submit the final report in German or in English, which should contain a summary of the research project, a detailed overview of the work done on the project and the results of it (50-80 pages).
Every month a “colloquium” (meeting) takes place, where each fellow reports about the progress on his/her research project. At the same time these meetings offer an opportunity for an intensive exchange between the fellows.
At the beginning of the program (in October) the orientation week takes place in order to have the opportunity to meet other fellows, to settle matters with authorities and to become acquainted with Berlin and its environs. So, the first two weeks have to be planned for EJF activities only.
At the beginning of the program each fellow makes a presentation of his/her abstract of the research project, which is a part of application, to other scholarship holders.
Every Wednesday from 18:00 to 20:00 a Jour fixe takes place. Representatives of politics, culture, mass media and academic world participate in these discussions. Usually after Jour fixe a small dinner is organised, at which all the participants are welcomed.
Personal Experience Report
At the end of the fellowship every fellow should submit a personal experience report, which gives an overview of the personal and working experience made during their stay in Berlin.
Seminar and Course Plan
At the beginning of each semester every fellow should submit a seminar and course plan, so to give the mentors an overview of the university activities of the fellows.
EJF team offers a varied cultural and social program, like visits to theater, concerts and excursions, discussions, day trips, etc. The participation in these activities for the fellows is not obligatory. EJF team will be happy to meet your interest.
