The newly published study Green Jobs: Employment Effects of a Green Economy outlines and evaluates the international discussion on green jobs. Furthermore, it assesses the existing empirical evidence on quantitative and qualitative employment effects of the transition to a green economy with special focus on developing and emerging countries. Moreover, instruments to organize and govern the transition process are analyzed with regards to their relevance for employment. Based on this, recommendations for international cooperation concerning green jobs are developed. The full study can be downloaded here (in German only).
