Interview in Spiegel Online and the Bayrischer Rundfunk with Dr. Klaus Jacob about Environmental Policies in Germany

On the occasion of the publication of UNEP’s 6th GEO report and a study commissioned by the Federal Environmental Agency, which, based on current data, compares the environmental situation as well as environmental policies in Germany with the global situation, Dr. Klaus Jacob takes stock of the disillusioning state of German environmental policies: in many areas objectives have not been met, limits have been exceeded, and loss of biodiversity is detectable. Environmental policies are stagnant. By contrast, many other countries, including developing and emerging countries, are increasingly experimenting with ambitious environmental policies.
