Commentary by Klaus Jacob on the Amazon fires in Brazil with Deutsche Welle

In light of the recent Amazon fires, there are discussions on possible measures by the industrialized countries for climate and rain forest protection on an international level. In his commentary to Deutsche Welle, Jacob explained that a legally binding climate protection would be desired and that ideally, this would be enforced by an international court of justice. However, current nationalisms - not only by the Brazilian government - makes such an institutionalization very unlikely.
