Thiel Andreas

Andreas Thiel holds a Ph.D. from Oxford Brookes University and a Degree in Economics from Technical University of Berlin. Currently he is lecturer at the Division of Resource Economics at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, where he teaches Environmental and Resource Economics and Institutional Economics and Political Economy. His research addressed water management in Southern Europe, and the Science Policy Interface. His current research looks at the scalar reconfiguration of natural resource governance in Europe and its implications for natural resource use, specifically water and marine environment. His theoretical and methodological interest is the role of institutions in social-ecological system analysis.
