Project description

RegEnergy developed innovative policy measures for a sustainable accommodation of heat energy on the communal and regional level. The project component 3 aimed to establish an interregional exchange of experiences and transfer of knowledge concerning these policy measures. In doing so, not only the results relieving the environment were to be named, but also socioeconomic side effects and local potential for value creation caused by these policy measures.
The various partners of this project worked out good practise case studies, following a methodological guideline and using a software tool to quantify socioeconomic effects and value creation. These case studies were evaluated in a comparative analysis (policy assessment). Based on the thus won insights as well as on the findings of other components of the project, RegEnergy then developed practical policy guidelines, specifically aligned to the respective region.
Furthermore, three workshops were held, concerning a) local and regional policy measures supporting renewable energies in the heating sector, b) local and regional policy measures supporting energy reducing in the heating of buildings and c) innovative planning instruments on communal and regional level. These workshops also aimed to further the awareness of political decision-makers and local stakeholders. A final workshop pooled the results and served their distribution.
