Based on an evaluation framework for assessing policy strategies for promoting environmental technologies, Rainer Quitzow gave an assessment of India's National Solar Mission and its effectiveness in addressing related policy targets. Key findings were that the strategy has made considerable progress in promoting deployment and cost-reduction targets, but it has failed to put in place a coherent set of policies for promoting industial policy targets.
