Maria Petrova

Maria Petrova is a student assistant in the research group Policy Assessment since June 2020.
She aquired a bachelor degree in Geography at the Uni Bonn focusing on Human Geography and currently consolidates her thematic interests within the scope of the master programme Geographical Development Research at the FU Berlin. Development topics cover Ms. Petrova's professional biography as well. Most recently, she was engaged with mineral raw material policy co-operation at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), especially in the field of climate, environment, and energy. Interlinkages between society-environment research and development studies are also a integral part of her academic research.
Methodologically Ms. Petrova draws on a comprehensive reportoire of qualitative social science methods, especially ethnographic methods of both data collection and data assessment.
