Angela Dziedzom Akorsu, who holds the Audre Lorde BUA Visiting Professorship for Intersectional Diversity Studies in the summer semester of 2025, is an Associate Professor and the Dean of the School for Development Studies, University of Cape Coast, Ghana. She holds a PhD from the University of Manchester in the UK. She has been engaged in outreach activities involving trade union education and post-graduate research supervision for close to 20 years. Professor Akorsu’s scholarly research interests are around informal economy organising, gender and rural women’s livelihoods, decent work along agricultural value chains. Philosophical foundations of development Studies as well as Gender and Development are among her enduring interests.
