Dr. Klaus Jacob has been appointed one of the Coordinating Lead Authors of the 6th Global Environmental Outlook by the United Nations Environment Program.

Since 1995 the Global Environment Outlook (GEO) has been developed regularly by more than 1200 scientists and hundreds of scientific organizations on behalf of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP). It provides a comprehensive inventory of the global environmental situation and elaborates options for improving environmental protection. The forthcoming 6th report will be presented to the United Nations Environment Ministers' Assembly (UNEA 4) in 2019.
