1. School Uni T + 20 – Energy and Climate
In time for the twentieth anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster and for the first time at the Free University of Berlin and in Germany, a thematically focused school university on climate and energy took place from 20th March to 24th March 2006.
The Environmental Policy Research Centre (FFU) developed this idea of education on behalf of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Build and Nuclear Safety in order to inform young people about (sustainable) energy and climate change issues without being moralistic.
Over a total of four days, a stage show and eleven interactive lectures and workshops took place. The demand for the events was so great that around 2,600 students participated in the individual events.
