Dongping Wang is originally from China and she moved to Berlin in 2014 to start her Ph.D. research in Free University in Berlin. She is interested in local environmental politics, and her research focuses on Local Climate Governance in China and Germany. She has done fieldwork in Beijing, Wuxi, and Chengdu in China for her research project. She is also interested in environmental politics, public administration, political philosophy, critical theory, and modernization.
Previously, Dongping Wang received her Master Degree of Law (2014) and Bachelor Degree of Law (2012) from Renmin University of China.
