The Environmental Policy Research Centre (FFU) of the Freie Universität Berlin organizes, with the financial support of the Fritz Thyssen Foundation, the conference "The EU renewable energy policy: challenges and opportunities". This event aims to gather together some of the principal scholars in the field of Environmental and Energy Politics in a working session to be held in Berlin, Germany. The overall goal of this conference is to systematically and comparatively analyse how and to what extent the EU’s renewable energy policy has influenced the national level, facilitating the transition of member states towards a sustainable, renewable-based energy system.
