As part of the International Year of the Woman Farmer, Prof. Lena Partzsch was invited to give a talk at SLU Global in Uppsala on 12 June 2026. The event, titled “Women as active agents of change in agricultural value chains,” brought together policymakers and researchers to advance the dialogue on gender equality in international agriculture. The talk by Prof. Lena Partzsch, titled „Women as active agents of change in agricultural value chains”, was based on her articles “It’s a women’s thing? Narratives in ethical trade campaigns” (2024, Globalizations) and “Campaigning for greater accountability in global supply chains” (2024, The Journal of Environment & Development).
