The day of action is part of the event series "Witzenhausen and Colonialism" by the University of Kassel. The series was created on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the founding of the German Colonial School in Witzenhausen and is intended to serve the reappraisal and critical discussion of the colonial entanglement of the German Institute for Tropical and Subtropical Agriculture of the University of Kassel. Central questions are: How can we overcome neo-colonial structures - in science and beyond? What does responsibility of science mean in a post-colonial world? How do we achieve a discourse at eye level to jointly address the pressing problems of our time?
