Introduction of Initiative for Sustainable Agricultural Supply Chain - with Valerie Jäck (GIZ) (in German)
Valerie Jäck, consultant of the Initiative for Sustainable Agricultural Supply Chains (INA) of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ), will talk about her work in the field of living wages and incomes and in the working group of the German retail sector as well as about her previous career with two fair trade companies in the seminar "Introduction to Agricultural and Food Policy" (Prof. Partzsch). Everybody is welcome to join this session!
INA was founded in November 2018 on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and is coordinated by a team from GIZ. The goal of INA is to achieve more sustainability in global agricultural supply chains and to improve the living conditions of smallholder farmers. To this end, the initiative offers an open platform for actors from the private sector, civil society and politics. INA works independently of individual commodities and focuses on the development of sustainable regions in which a cross-commodity approach is applied.
