Sarah Vera John is a Master's student in Political Science at the Otto-Suhr-Institute of the Free University of Berlin. Her studies focus on debates surrounding the politics of memory in international comparison, politics in Eastern Europe, and structures of injustice. She has been particularly interested in the remembrance of Nazi crimes against Roma and memory politics in Belarus. Since May 2023, Sarah John has been a student assistant on the project "History of Ihnestraße 22." Since this project was partially integrated into the "Arbeitsstelle Universitätsgeschichte," she has also been working on the environmental history of the Free University of Berlin.
