Dr. Schumann and Prof. Zippel at the CGHE Conference in Oxford

Dr. Daniel Schumann and Prof. Kathrin Zippel, PhD, will lead a roundtable at the conference “Navigating the Equity Crisis in Global Higher Education,” organized by the Centre for Global Higher Education at the University of Oxford on April 24, 2026. The roundtable is titled Anti-Gender, Diversity, and the Democratic University: Epistemic Struggles and Infrastructures. The event focuses on current anti-democratic tendencies in higher education in the US, Turkey, and the EU.
As part of the event, Kathrin Zippel, together with Jessica Gold and Laura Nelson, will give a presentation titled “Epistemic Warfare, DEIA as Infrastructure, and the Liberal Script in the United States”. Daniel Schumann will contribute a presentation on “Like a Bridge Over Troubled Water? European University Alliances and DEI”.
