The Political Sociology research unit (Prof. Dr. Swen Hutter) conducts research on political conflicts, societal polarization, socialmovements, political participation, and democratic change from a comparative European and international perspective.

Job description:
Support of quantitative data collections and data analyses with R; carry out extensive literature searches and summarize findings inEnglish; provide general assistance in research and teaching (including support for the preparation of teaching materials).
Desirable:
- studies in sociology, political science or a related social science discipline
- English proficiency (level C1)
- very good knowledge of quantitative methods of the empirical social research, in particular descriptive and inferential statisticalmethods, including multivariate regression analyses
- strong interest in research on political conflict, civil society, and protest
- desirable good knowledge (B2 level) of a further European language
