With the start of the summer term, the Institute of Sociology is going to resume the Coffee & Talks series.

In the context of the event, members and fellows of the Institute meet in a casual setting to present and discuss their current research projects with the audience. The sessions always take place in seminar room 323, Garystr, 55, and are also streamed via Webex. All students and staff members are warmly welcome to join the Coffee & Talks to get insights into current research activities at our Institute.

The 1. Session will be held on Wednesday, 06 May from 11:00-12:00.

On that occasion, Jan Boesten will give a presentation with the title:

"Republics under pressure: the State and oligarchic modes of rule in Colombia"
