Dr. phil. habil. Tilo Grätz published a new book on West African radio and media activism in Benin. He examines the topics, motives, strategies, and public positions of the grogneurs, the most active callers who have become activists. Based on field research, he offers scholars of African Studies new understandings of media change in West Africa, and provides non-specialists with comprehensible insights into vibrant debates in this region of the continent.
