Prof. Barbara Pfetsch Joins Advisory Board of the Düsseldorf Institute for Internet and Democracy

In February 2021, Prof. Dr. Barbara Pfetsch joined the advisory board of the Düsseldorf Institute for Internet and Democracy (DIID).
The institute, founded in July 2016 at Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf, is home of innovative inter- and transdisciplinary research projects investigating digital technologies and their impacts on democracy. One main research focus is online participation. Currently, about 40 researchers work at the DIID, with their backgrounds being in various disciplines, such as Economics, Communication Science, Computer Science, Law, Philosophy, Political Science, as well as Sociology.
As a member of the DIID's advisory board, Prof. Dr. Barbara Pfetsch will work closely with her seven board colleagues as well as the governing board to support the institute's research and further development.
