On the link between nature conservation and social issues: anthology contribution on social alliances for sustainability policy released

In a recently published anthology, The Federal Agency for Nature Conservation discusses the reciprocal link between nature conservation and social questions of social cohesion and equity. It highlights the importance of considering the social for a successful nature conservation as well as the impacts of environmental action on the social sphere. Against this background, Klaus Jacob analyses in his contribution the common challenges for environmental and social policy, and the role of civil society alliances for implementing a socially just sustainability policy and building a sustainably conscious society.
