Rafael Postpischil has been working as a researcher at the Research Centre for Sustainability (FFN), the former Environmental Policy Research Centre (FFU) since mid-2017. His main areas of research are climate and energy policy, resource policy, and social distributional effects, each with a special focus on economic policy instruments. Also, he pursues a PhD on the policy processes of environmental taxation in Germany at the Freie Universität Berlin.
He holds a joint master’s degree in Environmental Policy and Planning from the Freie Universität Berlin and the Technischen Universität Berlin as well as a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics from the Universität Mannheim. In addition to his studies, he completed internships at the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, the Öko-Institut, and the Wuppertal Institute.
