Projektbeschreibung:

The major thrust of this project was focussed on contemporary security and foreign policy developments in Europe in the wake of the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington DC, and the subsequent call from President Bush to wage a united 'war' or 'crusade' against international terrorism. Insofar as this call was immediately unequivocally heeded by both the EU in consort as well as by all individual European states (EU members or not), a new international security situation has been created, the consequences of which are unpredictable except that they would undoubtedly be profound, affecting both European policies and transatlantic relations.
